sarahsentry Posted March 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2018 we’re on the allure now and due to weather they’ve changed our itinerary and now we’re stopping at Puerto Rico instead of St Maarten. How is the island doing these days (I thought it was still doing quite poorly)?? Any low key options for a family with a 6 year old?
mollyeilis Posted March 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2018 San Juan is doing well. (As far as I know it’s doing much better than Sint Maarten and especially St Martin) Hit the forts! Or go to the chocolate cafe. Wander Old San Juan.
Aviator of the Seas Posted March 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Old San Juan was doing just fine. But then, we had a ginormous northerly swell hit us overnight and today, which caused considerable damage to Paseo La Princesa, the bayside promenade most people take to walk to the forts from the piers. Now you will have to cut across town until that beautiful walk is repaired.
