First Time on Norwegain Spirit

My husband and I will go on the Spirit for our second cruise. Our first cruise was on Carnival and we had a blast. I am concerned though, about the fact that the ship was made for Asians and its accommodations are a bit smaller than other vessels (ie chairs, beds, tables are smaller than we are accustomed to). My husband and I are "full-figured" people and this concerns me a bit. Does anyone have any comments on this?

No problems. While some furniture is slightly smaller, there's huge Asians too. Have you ever seen a summo wrestler?

It's not the furniture is that much smaller, they're just slightly shorter.

The beds, by the way, are full sized. The rooms aren't that much smaller either.

Inside cabin sizes on all NCL ships.

Pride of Aloha 147 sq. ft.

Pride of America 132 sq. ft.

Crown 160 sq. ft.

Dawn 142 sq. ft.

Dream 136-142 sq. ft.

Jewel 143 sq. ft.

Majesty 108-145 sq. ft.

Spirit 149 sq. ft.

Star 142 sq. ft.

Sun 145-191 sq. ft.

Wind 135-144 sq. ft.

Yes, the Pride of America's inside cabins are small, but the Majesty has smaller cabins.

Let's check out the balcony cabins too.

Pride of Aloha 154 sq. ft. balcony 48 sq. ft.

Pride of America 138 sq. ft. balcony 40-95 sq. ft.

Crown No balcony cabins

Dawn 166 sq. ft. balcony 37 sq. ft.

Dream 167 sq. ft. balcony 40 sq. ft.

Jewel 167 sq. ft. balcony 38 sq. ft.

Majesty No balcony cabins

Spirit 161 sq. ft. balcony 40 sq. ft.

Star 166 sq. ft. balcony 37 sq. ft.

Sun 150-173 sq. ft. balcony 48 sq. ft.

Wind 167 sq. ft. balcony 40 sq. ft.

The cabins aboard the Spirit match up well with the other NCL ships.

Rest assured, you will not encounter any problems due to your size. We sailed on the Spirit in Sept (to Alaska.) You will love everything about this ship. The bathrooms are so much better than the other ships that I have been on. The glass door on the shower is so much better than the clingy curtains on other ships! Our inside cabin had plenty of storage for a seven night cruise. Enjoy your trip. Sassy

I don't think you'll have a problem. We found the cabins on NCL to be a little smaller than the ones on Carnival as a general rule, but the beds were normal sized, and the bathrooms on the Spirit are much better sized than average (especially the shower).
