davidmaveng Posted December 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2005 I have noticed on Oceania web site that the Monte Carlo port has been changed to Nice.. I was told a highlight of Monte Carlo was seeing it @ night from the port and as the ship sails out..Why the change:mad: , now it causes more time & $ spent just to get back to Monte Carlo.. ClaudiaF Posted December 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Not sure about port change, but there seems to be alot of it going on. In any event if you take the train from Nice to Monaco it takes about 20 minutes and costs about $11.00 p/p ( round trip).;)
HappyMe_ Posted December 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Hi David, our cruise has also been changed from Monte Carlo to Nice. It makes me wary to book any private tours if there are going to be more changes, luck of draw I guess. I did email Oceania about the change, at that time (before Christmas) the itinerary looked odd and they replied with what we both know now as 2 days in Nice .. versus 2 days in Monte Carlo. No reason was given for this change. Thinking here that perhaps this will not be a bad deal if Nice is a more accessible type port. Maybe wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps someone who has been to both can enlighten us. Thanks.
