Safari public bus

Hi,

 

When we were in San Thomas last Dec, we took safari public bus to saphire beach no problem. But upon return, we asked the public bus driver before boarding the bus, if he would return to downtown, the first 2 bus drivers said no. The 3rd one said yes.

 

As I understand, there is just one bus route on the island, all buses just go in circle. So there is no need to ask, I just need to board the bus, and give $2 after the ride. Is my understanding correct?

They go where they want to go. They are private drivers who set their own schedule and route.
