Paradise Beach vs Playa Mia Beach

Need some advice...

On our first cruise (Disney Magic 4/06) with 7yo twins. Magic offers 'Cozumel Beach Break' for $59/$49 per person. Looks nice but haven't heard much about it. Paradise Beach, on the other hand, gets great reviews (even post Wilma). Can anyone offer a comparison? Can we cab it to Paradise Beach on our own?

Appreciate any info. Thanks!

Yes you can take a cab, plenty available at the pier cost to Paradise Beach is 14 one way, and there are taxi's waiting there when your ready to leave. Only comparison I can help you with is that wife, two baoys 7/9 spent the day at PB 12/24 and our bill was 130 including taxi. It is a great place to spend the day plenty of chairs, waiters, kids had a ball with water toys, food is great as well as the Sols and blue shots.

No question I'd choose to go to PB over the "beach break" excursion. Be sure to say hi to Tom who usually gets there after noon. Taxi fare is $14 per taxi for 4 people from downtown one way. A wrist band to allow the use of all the water toys is $8 a person, and is optional. If you sit closer to the bar/restaurant, service will probably be a bit quicker because the waiters won't have as far to walk. Please be sure to tip the waiters. Mexican minimum wage is $45 pesos a day , which is roughly $4.50 a day. A $5 tip will double their day's wages.
