About solo cruising on Carnival. You pay for the cabin, if the cabin is a $1000 and there are two passengers it $500 each. One person it's a grand. Some day they may offer single cabins on Carnival, I doubt it. I still keep doing it.

Suite passengers pay more, too. Should they get more points?

It's just the point if one decide to sail alone, that great rate you see on sales is not what you are going to get. If a sailing is showing $300 for outside cabin, I have to pay $150 more at 150%. The logic that two people in cabin spend more isn't always true either. Princess is under Carnival corp and give double points, reasonable to offer it to solo cruisers

On Royal suite guests do indeed get double points and solo pax triple points.

Carnival has just chosen not to follow some of the other lines perks.

OR, some of the other cruise lines have chosen not to follow Carnival's perks. Cruise Day Points are what Carnival gives you. They are defined as a cruise day point for every day you have sailed on a paid cruise. It is at the individual level not at a dollar level. Loyalty levels are based on Cruise Day Points.
