Any slot players who can give advice as to which (if any) machines are loose? Any jackpots won? Also I see you can win a cruise for 2 with so many points earned. Anyone know how much you'd have to gamble to get that many points?

Also any tips for getting free things or cool places on the ship or shortcuts, etc. I love to find out insider tips to make the most of my trips!

Thanks in advance

Slot machines are programmable electronics. Some places (e.g. Las Vegas) have to release win statistics, so theoretically you can see which slots are looser than others, while slots in other places (e.g. cruise ships, Native American reservations) don't have to release such statistics. In other words, you're asking a question that cannot be answered. Anyone who tells you such and such slot is loose and such and such slot is tight is only giving anecdotal evidence and the machine could be programmed to be tighter or looser at any time. Slot machines are the worst odds in the casino. If you wanna donate via slot machine vs. via a game with much better odds like blackjack you kind of just have to be realistic with yourself and make your donation through whatever machine you like best.

Right On! I knew this already. I like playing video poker because based on the payout table, there is certain strategy and percentage. Cruise ships have some of the lowest tables. Doesn't mean you can't win though LOL. I sat down on my last cruise and played $.25 (video poker) machine, I was up already about $80 and hit the royal flush and won $4200. That money was used to help pay for our cruise on the Seaside this saturday :)

We too won a jackpot on a previous cruise that more than paid for the cruise! Just wondered if folks felt like they were able to play awhile or if they just sucked your money fast.

Just depends! Like the other person said, its all random number generators. You could win right away or lose right away.

When I asked a casino question about the Seaside a few weeks ago, several people responded that they had won jackpots. That was a few weeks ago. Hoping it holds out a little longer and they didn't make them a little looser at first. I'm boarding on Saturday and I'd like my money (and some of theirs) to come home with me.

Personally, I thought the slots were very tight on Divina last year. In fact, I just played for amusement rather than expecting much in the way of winnings. MSC gave out $3 free slots each day which caused me to end up "ahead" if that really mattered since I was gambling so little. It was fun for a half hour or so per day.
