Flattop mountain shuttle-anchorage

Has anyone done this? Have whole day in anchorage without a car and wanted to do/see something different from our other visits to anchorage. Thanks, laurie

I've never taken the shuttle, but love climbing flattop! It starts out as a nice hike and finishes with some scrambling at the end to get to the top. It's windy and chilly up top. The price for the shuttle is much cheaper than cabbing it. My son has a view of flattop from his condo!

Last year the shuttle left from very close to the visitor center on 4th avenue....the cost was 23.00 not sure what it might be this year. It gives you about 4 hours to climb it and have a look see. It is the most climbed moumtain in AK....and although it is not technical, the last bit of it is scrabble...Each year, several people fall off of it and have to be helicoptered out of there so be careful...
