jukeboxy Posted December 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2005 As I was reading other threads this a.m. I had a brain flash. Celebrity has live music every night for dinner of some kind and I have never tipped them. I know it is not loud and overbearing so we don't think about it most of the time. It does however add much to the pleasue of the dinner hour for me and I should make an effort in the future to let them know how much I enjoy their effort. I guess you can say that is my New Years cruising resalution.
superjerryw Posted December 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2005 Don't say this too loudly or the next thing you know the cruise lines will stop giving the musicians a salary and they will start giving us more tip envelopes.....
C 2 C Posted December 30, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2005 While on Summit transcanal a Mexican band came aboard and played around the dining room. Is there an implied tip if they stop at your table?... Just wondered because they did not stay in the dining room for the entire meal.
Fang Posted December 30, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2005 On our last cruise, my daughter went to the band at dinner and asked for a specific song. I gave her two dollers to tip the band. She did and the next song they played was the one she asked for. I think that this is just like any band etc., if you as for a specific song a tip should be given.
