MrMike45 Posted May 1, 2018 #201 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Biggest misses for me: Variety of entertainment (same vocalists in same venues singing same songs) Lack of anything from the captain like daily updates No sail away parties Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thank you. Seems like the entertainment is a similar problem on all ships. Repetitive, especially on longer sailings. The other 2, I wonder if because it's a TA and no a normal cruise run. Sail away parties are usually a staple at the very least. Thanks for answering and for your live reporting. Enjoy the rest of your cruise
marcyjane Posted May 1, 2018 #202 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Anyone know the cost of the Thermal Suite Pass. Thanks
gatorchinsky Posted May 1, 2018 #203 Share Posted May 1, 2018 NO smoking on any of the outside decks. Thank you for you answers Very interesting that none of the waterfront bars allow smoking. I’m a non smoker so this is great news but it does seem like the Bliss is not a ship for smokers. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
CruiserRob Posted May 1, 2018 #204 Share Posted May 1, 2018 So NO smoking on any of the outside decks. Thank you for you answers I believe that there is a small outside smoking area in Spice H2O Robert

SeahawkSiren Posted May 1, 2018 #206 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Anyone know the cost of the Thermal Suite Pass. Thanks The cost varies depending on the length of the cruise. I paid $199.00 for the pass on a 7 day cruise to Alaska on the Bliss (only 31 more days to go!). If you purchase it in advance you also save $20.00 on the overall price. Seahawk Siren since you are sailing in 31 days have you had to opportunity to book your shows? I am not sailing until August but shows unavailable. When you check they said no idea why cant book yet. SeahawkSiren Posted May 1, 2018 #209 Share Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) Seahawk Siren since you are sailing in 31 days have you had to opportunity to book your shows? I am not sailing until August but shows unavailable. When you check they said no idea why cant book yet. No, it still shows "unavailable to book" online. I called NCL a couple days ago to try and book over the phone and they told me shows are not available to book over the phone either (although it sounds as though some people have been successful booking shows over the phone for June sailings from posts I've seen here on CC). I will keep trying or may just have to wait until I get onboard. Edited May 1, 2018 by SeahawkSiren

Champster Posted May 1, 2018 #211 Share Posted May 1, 2018 1 main dining rooms (Manhattan Room (dinner only), Taste/Savor (lunch on sea days)), Garden Cafe Buffet, The Local. Haven Restaurant (for suites). 2 shorts allowed in all restaurants except Le Bistro and Ocean Blue. 3 smoking is very restricted. Cigar lounge. Casino for active players in the smoking area. No longer on the waterfront. 4 the main shows Jersey Boys and Havana need reservations. Along with the comedy show. These are free. There is a paid show Prohibition. I thought that I read somewhere that the Observation lounge had breakfast (Continental maybe) available too. Is that correct or is it a charge for Observation lounge breakfast?? Single Cruiser Posted May 1, 2018 Author #213 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Sorry internet has been sporadic today but I think others have answered the questions. Yes some smokers were upset that only the outdoor area by the bar in Spice. Also on this ship the entrance to the humidor lounge is only from outside and no internal door to Maltings. Single Cruiser Posted May 1, 2018 Author #214 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Went to see the matinee Jersey Boys today and really enjoyed it. Not really my era of music but it was a lot better than I thought . 1hr 40mins long and there are a few swear words but nothing more than you’d see in a movie on TV! Although they’ve added a warning to the listings as I guessed someone complained Sent from my iPhone using Forums

claireruth Posted May 2, 2018 #219 Share Posted May 2, 2018 Wow, Haven looks amazing! Although I almost don't want to stay there because I feel like it would ruin me from cruising forever. I already only ever want a balcony room!

Single Cruiser Posted May 2, 2018 Author #222 Share Posted May 2, 2018 So final sea day has arrived. We are now on Eastern DST time and a short distance due East of NY. The next time I open these drapes I should be looking at Manhattan Terminal. So last of the dailies The key point to note is we are arriving much earlier. At the Bridge during the midnight hour. Liberty 1AM. I’m guessing it’s to allow the crew to clear immigration and us coast guard inspectors etc before the passengers disembark. I’ve got a fairly hectic schedule planned for NY so not sure if staying up is best or planning a split sleep cycle! Single Cruiser Posted May 2, 2018 Author #223 Share Posted May 2, 2018 We have our disembarkation times between 8:00 and 10:45, out of cabins by 9:00. But my previous experiences with US immigration gave been considerably longer. On Escape we were still queuing just to get into the terminal at midday!
