Mercury, Sky Deck - Advice/Info

We have booked an inside on Sky Deck for a 15-day Panama Canal in Dec. 2006 and wonder if there will be any noise impacts since our cabin is located over the Cafe on the Resort deck. We don't tend to spend a lot of time in our cabin or sleep in late in the mornings; but we aren't Night Owls either!

As always, thanks in advance for your input and we send best wishes to all CCers for the New Year!

We were in 1242 on the Galaxy and there was no noise. We were not actually over the cafe, so we can't guarantee you won't hear any noise, but we can tell you we loved that deck. Very convenient. Also, as there are not many cabins, we thought the service was exceptional.

Have fun

We have been on the Mercury Sky Deck twice. Abosolutely no noise from the cafe below. The sky deck, actually is in a very convenient location. The cafe and the pool are just one flight up or down.

We love that location!:D

I was in 1217 in '04 for Alaska. Loved it! Just a few steps to the outside doors both fore and aft. Plus, in that cabin you only have one cabin adjacent, (which is a connecting one by the way).

Enjoy your cruise!

We were in 1239 with friends next door in 1235 - great location - easy access to pool as mentioned and quiet as could be. Could not even hear our friends with adjoining door unless they knocked hard on it. The other thing we loved is it was just a few steps away from an outside access door that takes you up one flight of stairs to the above deck where we enjoyed lounge chairs. Virtually 2 minutes away from your room if you were sunning on the upper deck.
