don't dress TOO warmly unless you have absolute proof it's freezing outside also, don't miss a minute of the scenery, even when you're in BC waters before and after Alaska itself ... have fun!

Carry a small umbrella so it won't rain, and have a warm hat for near the glaciers so the weather will be beautiful. Dressing in layers with a windbreaker on top works for most cool days. It's great up here now. Have a marvelous time! Nancy

Hi Beth,
My husband & I leave for Vancouver on June 19th for our Infinity cruise to Alaska. We can't wait. Just like you we are really excited.
I think you will have a fantastic cruise. Have way too much fun, meet lots & lots of new people, don't forget the sushi (before or after dinner).
Happ[y Cruising!

P.S. Don't forget the insect repellent and don't forget to have way to much fun!

Whick ship will you be on?? We're booked on the Summit for June next year with the 5 day pre-cruise land tour. I'll be very interested in your review.

The most fun we had in Alaska...
1) Duck Boat ride/tour in Ketchikan
2) Annabelle's in Ketchikan for their great seafood chowder, ambiance and wonderful homemade herb bread.
3) Juneau ...Red Dog Saloon after 2 pm
4) Juneau.. Tram that goes to the top of the mountain, beautiful view!
5) Juneau...Salmon Bake
6) Skagway... Walking around town
7) White Pass and panning for gold tour (Corny, but fun! )

There are LOTS of other things to do on your own or with a tour. Alaska has much to offer you can go back again and again and do different things.
Just don't get stuck just looking at one shop after another. They all have the same stuff and you will miss a lot.

Have a great time. I am jealous.

We are on the Mercury...it's hard to believe that this time tomorrow we will be dining on Celebrity's dinner fare!

Thank you all for your advice. My bags are packed and ready!
