Cruisertoday Posted May 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Anyone have any idea what will be happening with the Carnival Miracle after August 2019?? If port schedules are to be believed, the Legend will be replacing the Miracle in Tampa at the end of October.
seannyice81 Posted May 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2018 I wouldn't count on anything too much. While I do believe Carnival wants to commit a Spirit Class ship to Tampa, Who knows what ship it will be. Tampa has hosted 3 of the 4 in that class (Legend, Miracle, and Pride) off and on in the last 5 years. Carnival has been shuffling their ships around a lot lately. I have been wondering the same thing since Miracle is the only Carnival ship without a schedule past August 2019. If you have noticed Legend also does not have a repositioning cruise scheduled after her summer 2019 Alaska season. Legend also does not have any sailings available for sale from Australia after this time while Spirit and Splendor both are on sale through December 2019. I am assuming you have saw the same thing I did on Grand Cayman's port schedule online. With all that said my best friend just returned from a cruise on the Magic and she called me when she came back and asked if I had heard they were selling the Carnival Fantasy in August 2019. Normally I would put no truth behind a rumor heard from a staff member on a ship, but I had to wonder if there might be some truth to it with the coincidence of Miracle's schedule ending at the same time. I suppose only time will tell.
Bostwick girl Posted May 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2018 I'd like to know as well. My favorite Carnival ship after 21 cruises. Absolutely loved Miracle.
zephyrhillscruisers Posted May 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2018 Whatever comes to Tampa, it has to be small enough to fit under the Skyway bridge. There is a nice area off Hudson in Western Pasco County to the north where a terminal could be built for bigger ships.
