Boitexan Posted January 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2006 We just got back from our 12/25 Conquest cruise and there were dozens of people on-board trying to get passengers to come to Carnival Vacation Club presentations. They were offering a free companion airline ticket if you'd come to one of the presentations. I have lots f.f. miles and didn't need the companion ticket and the whole thing had a "time share" feel about it. BUT, I am curious to know what it's about. Has anyone been to one of the presentations? If so, would you give an overview of what the Vacation Club is?
cheshyrkat Posted January 2, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2006 I never went to the presentation, but from what I have read it is a time share sort of arrangement. Others have looked into it more in-depth.
Boitexan Posted January 2, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted January 2, 2006 I answered my own question by searching the net using Google. I found loads of information about Carnival Vacation Club (almost all of it not good) on cruise-chat.com
Beach4me Posted January 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2006 ...it's illegal in South Carolina. The SC Attorney General won't let it be sold to SC residents. That's all I had to hear.
drpeperlvr Posted January 2, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2006 Easiest way to read about it is to do a search on here. There are negatives in everything, so if it's something that doesn't fit you then move on. Some of us out there joined the Vacation Club and have been very happy with it. Just like cruising...some like it and some don't. Steven
