LizzieTrowbridge Posted May 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2018 Does Carnival Horizon have magnetic doors for door decor? Hoping someone knows. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
RWolver672 Posted May 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2018 I hope not or you wouldn't be able to open a magnetic door. It would stick to the metal frame. If you are asking if they are metal, then the answer is yes.

Sizzlechest Posted May 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Haha! Good catch. I did, in fact, mean to ask if the doors are metal [emoji4] thanks for answering ! Yes, all metal. They're constructed of stainless steel, copper, and aluminum. :D
wave2me Posted May 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2018 (edited) Currently on the horizon...... The doors will not take a magnetic sign. There is a type of ‘paneling’ on the outside of the cabin door that makes it not magnetic on the hallway side. angela12345 Posted May 18, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 18, 2018 On some ships, if the door itself will not hold a magnet, most of the time (always?) the frame around the door will.
Ihearttravel11 Posted May 18, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 18, 2018 Would a suction cup stick to the door? Or should we use (or can we use) the "command" hooks?

Sent from my iPhone using Forums When in doubt about door decor, try "sticky tack", "fun tack" or some such. Works for me, and it IS removable! ;)
Thorncroft Posted May 18, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 18, 2018 Blue painters tape. No residue and steward approved. And it will piss off the door decorators group on FB who I think must own stock in Command products. LOL
