Curacao cabs - can use US Dollars?

I have a private excursion in Curacao and need to take a 5 minute cab ride. Does anyone have any idea if the cabbies will take US Dollars?

Yes, they will take US $. We took a cab ride in April and there was no problem whatsoever with the money.

Just be sure to have small denomination bills so you have exact change. If you try to pay with a $20, it is possible you will get local currency in change or the driver will say he can't make change at all, which is known to happen in Cozumel.
