oldsilverfox Posted June 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Hello Everybody, We have booked a cabin with obstructed views on the Bermuda deck on the Horizon. Can any Cruise Critics who have been in these cabins advise how obstructed they really are ? As you see we are from the UK so we have cleared the first hurdle, i.e. got the flight plus cruise organised!!! but we are now wondering about upgrading. Any advice would be gratefully received. Keep on Cruising from Oldsilverfox.
venicecruiser Posted June 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2004 I've had 9061 3 times. In that cabin, part of the window is between 2 lifeboats so you do have a small view......... Location of this deck is great! Celebrity Galaxy 10/18 and 10/25/04 Seven Seas Mariner 12/17/04 Seven Seas Navigator 1/8/05 Too Much of a Good Thing Can Be Wonderful! mcmarya Posted June 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Depends on the cabin--look at the deck plans as they are pretty accurate. The cabins between lifeboats have an OK view. All will have light and you can probably see come sky above and maybe a little ocean below. If you are thrifty, the cabins are a great deal because of their location on 9th deck which is convenient to everything yet they are often cheaper than inside cabins. I recommend cabins 9081 and 9083--between 2 lifeboats and above the card room so they are very quiet. They are toward the rear of the ship where there is a nice deck. bettycrowley Posted June 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2004 We had cabin 9051.. had a pretty good view between lifeboats. Loved the location: mid ship, 2 decks up to pool and 2 decks down to restaurant.
mcmarya Posted June 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2004 If your current cabin is in the middle of a lifeboat, ask your agent to check for availability of one of the cabins between lifeboats. Changing cabins is no big deal. If none are available at the moment, check cabin availability periodically on Celebrity's site or Travelocity or Orbitz. As passengers with Guarantees are moved around, cabins can become available right up to a few days before sailing.
