Our cruise doc's state that boarding begins @ 5:00pm. Cruise is scheduled to leave @8:00.

I was wondering if they have been letting pax on before five? If you have recently been on the Mercury...what time where you allowed to board? Also did your doc's also state 5:00 boarding....Or is this new? We are spending the night before (actually 2 nights) the cruise in DT SD. I was planning on going to the ship around 10:30-11:00.

I was also wondering what time they do the muster drill?

Thanks

I haven't been on Mercury since 2001. Back then, we were able to board as soon as we arrived at the dock, approximately 11:00 a.m. If you perform a thread search for "boarding time" you will find lots of threads on this. Eleven to noon seems to be typical. It probably depends on when the ship arrives, clears customs, and gets all the departing passengers off the ship.

When are you going?

We were on the 12/12 Mercury cruise and boarded about noon. The lifeboat drill was at 5:15pm. Our cruise docs said the same thing as yours (disregard it).
