Produce123 Posted June 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2018 (edited) hi there. We are doing back to back cruises this December on the Horizon. Besides havinh the pools all to ourselves, is this the best time to do laundry in their laundry room? Some sites show the laundry rooms closed while docked? Any other tips on what we should do with ship empty of cruisers? Thanks. Edited June 10, 2018 by Produce123 Missed info

She went there as soon as we had gone thru immigration and were back on the ship. Not sure if this is the same on Horizon, but I would assume so. cmptrwiz Posted June 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2018 We were on the Glory and went to guest services and asked if the laundry would be open on the splendor when we got off of Glory and jumped on Splendor. They said yes and we would need quarters. So I purchased the quarters and at the end of our Glory trip boarded the Splendor and all the laundry rooms were locked. I asked a room steward in the hall if this was normal and they said yes, but they would call someone. It took a while, but someone in a white uniform showed up and unlocked the door. The funny thing is the washer and dryers used your sail and sign card. No quarters needed! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
77sue Posted June 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2018 We've only been on one b2b, but pretty much everything was closed before everyone boards. No bars, no pools, just a huge flurry of cleaning and maintenance.
mistycruiser Posted June 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2018 I did my laundry on day 1 of the 2nd leg on a B2B. It was great because no waiting for the washer or dryer.

Everyone else is packing and prepping to leave in the morning. Obviously the laundry being available depends on which ship you will be on and one ship doesn’t really know what any other ships are doing! You don't really ever end up on an empty ship because you don't get escorted through customs until everyone is gone. Then people start boarding within minutes of when you get back on the ship. Most things are closed that morning so there isn't much to do until you reboard. We usually just people watch that morning. There's always a show at guest services. karlmonday Posted June 11, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2018 I was able to access the laundry room on my back to back after I had reboarded. I started a load in the washer, went to lunch and then placed in dryer.
