I see that it says it's only good for new bookings - does that mean you have to use the gift card when you make your deposit? Or can you use it to help pay the balance on a cruise already booked?

According to terms and cond for booking a new cruise only. Not valid to settle onboard accounts

There are a lot of restrictions with Celebrity Gift Cards. More trouble than they are worth IMO.

Be REALLLY careful. I had some payment left and figured that would work. Nope. ONLY future cruise. PayPal won't refund and doesn't care even a little bit. NOT recommended.

Just as an FYI, I purchased 10 cards and applied them to my final payment without any issue.
