Magica sailing 1/15/06- anyone else??

We are sailing on the 15th. Just wondering if there are others out there leaving on this date. We've been on 4 other cruises with Carnival but this is a first for Costa.

My husband and I booked this cruise at the last minute, and there are 2 other couples (friends of ours) who did the same. We are seniors and can do this. How old are you? We have not cruised "Costa" before, and are hoping that all the negatives we've heard are not true. All of our cruises have been positive (we've sailed Celebrity, RCCL, NCCL, and Carnival) and that may be because we go for the fun and relaxation and always look for the good rather than the bad. We tend to concentrate on reading the positives on these boards rather than the negative. Would love to meet you on the ship. Have you heard of anyone else going on this one?

My husband and I also booked this last minute. We have gone on numerous Carnival, Princess & RCCL. Looking forward to trying Costa. I'm going with an open mind and plan on having a great cruise.

Our group of 8 from Toronto, Canada, have just booked on this Sailing.

 

Most of us have cruised with HAL, Cunard-QE2, RCCL, etc.

 

6 of us are first timers with Costa.

 

Indeed, we are hoping for the best.

My wife and I are booked on the 1/15 cruise. We have our fingers crossed on what the ship will be like. I am at least heartened by some positive reviews. We took an NCL cruise in 04 and went with an open mind and we were pleasantly surprised - so i am hoping for the same on the Magica - david

We too just booked this cruise. It is our first with Costa - our 32nd in all and are going to keep an open mind because of all of the negatives we are hearing. Plan to make the best of it.

I have actually read very few DIFFERENT people writing negative reviews--just a few spreading their opinions over many different areas--we are planning on having a great time--after all--what we are paying for is a hotel with pools/casino/other amentities----as for the food---on a scale of 10--I figure if it's edible it automatically gets a 5 andif it's free it gains 2 more--so anything else merely moves it up from the 7 it already has.

I think that puts us in the category of a positive--and would have to have a very bad time to go negative.

( I hope to meet alot more folks with the same positive outlook

Getting Excited!! Does anyone else fly into FLL at around 11am? We fly in on United at 11:10- there are two of us- thought maybe somebody might want to share a cab over.
