Received an e-mail from Harrison Caves in regards to closing

I received this e-mail from Harrison Caves today. It's up in the air, but at least they responded.

I'll keep the board posted if I hear any news from them.

 

 

Let me apologise for the late response, we are experiencing some

difficulties with our systems, to answer your question of the opening of the caves on February 16, 2006 we don't have a definite date for the closure as yet, but i promise to respond as soon as word is given to me. So again i apologise and hope that you will bear with us through this difficult period.

Thanks, I emailed them too...but didn't get a reply...

We will be there also on Feb. 16th...I hope they will be open!

I was just through the caves on Jan 12th and all was well.... spoke at length with "Cave Girl" (one of the tour directors) and she didn't mention anything about a 'closure"

The biggest problem is they have been trying to close for some serious renovations since Jun 05 and this hasn't happened. I think much has to do with bids for the work etc. but if they don't close soon they will not be back open for Cricket World Cup 2007 and will lose a ton of money in revenue.

 

As far as I know the local tour operators are still on an every 2 week notice.
