shipboard credit for carnival stock

Hi!! We traveled with Celebrity last year, and had read on the cruise critic message board that could get $200 shipboard credit, just for owning 100 shares of Royal Caribbean stock (Celebrity's parent company). Does anyone know if Carnival has a similar promotion?

Yes, they do. Applies to all Carnival lines (Carnival, Princess, HAL etc.)

It applies to every cruise. But, only 1 per room. So, if 2 people in the room have Carnival Stock, only 1 can get the credit.

Ah, but alas. It's only $100 on a 7-13 day cruise and it has the infamous statement that it can't be used with a reduced rate.

Apply for it anyway. We have always gotten the $100 credit in addition to our $150 shipboard credit given to our group.

 

Always apply for it, no matter what, if they say no, then you tried. If they say yes, you got an extra credit.

In addition to the $150 shipboard credit? How big a group do you have to get this? I am trying to put together a group of friends and relatives for a cruise on the Glory. Just curious how much or what I can expect to get as a group.

My travel agent puts together about 3 group cruises a year. The one this year that got $150 is on the Conquest sailing Oct. 29, 2006 and there are bout 45 people booked so far.
