kaymoz Posted July 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2018 Someone inquired on Trip Advisor "how is the smoking on Pullmantur?" because she has a sensistivity (as many of us do!) and needs smoke-free places. I told her I would post the question on CC. For those of you who are sensitive, what have you noticed on Pullmantur ships in recent time?

While on board the policy is normally strict, just a couple of places for smoking. No smoking in cabins and most public areas. wadethegringo Posted July 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2018 No smoking in any indoor area... Smoking is supposed to be on one side of the ship. but a lot of the bars are centered in the middle. On all of the cruise I have been on Pullmantur. The smoking side is always fuller than the non smoking side.
kaymoz Posted July 4, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted July 4, 2018 So if you book a balcony cabin, it's really important to situate yourself on the appropriate side!

ClearyCreek Posted July 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2018 On the Fjords of the North Pullmantur cruise that I took this May, smoking was generally not permitted inside the ship but was allowed on the outer decks (I can not remember/do not know if it was allowed late at night in the nightclub area, as I did not attend that). In this way, being inside the ship away from the doors to the decks was generally more smokefree than on most other ships I have been on that allow smoking in the casino and in other areas inside the ship. As this was a Norwegian fjords cruise, I often got up early (before 7) and walked on the upper decks until about 7:00 or so when the coffee cafe opened. At that time of the day, there were very few passengers out and about and only very rarely a smoker (sometimes a staff member). I am very sensitive to smoke, and I found I had to avoid smoking areas on this cruise about as much as I do on any other cruise ship/cruise line.
