bby31288 Posted July 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Hi all. I sail in 46 days! August 19. I booked a balcony guarantee, cabin not assigned. I see if I do a mock booking that there are cabins available that weren’t when I booked. I can get a balcony on deck 7 mid ship for the same price as my guarantee. Should I call and try to switch? There are no guarantee cabins available so I can’t see if there was a price drop of that category. Or just see what cabin I get. Any advice. chipperberg Posted July 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2018 I would call and see if you can switch! Why not? Especially if that is a cabin and location you would like.
Surrealistic Posted July 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Deck 7 mid ship is ideal................I would totally try to switch!
maryred Posted July 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Since GTY bookings have very strict TOUs I would completely go for the booking upgrade of picking your own cabin.

I would take that! It's one of the best locations for a standard balcony! Deck 8 midship is right under Lido. Aft can have vibration issues, so mid ship is better than aft. Take it! JMAE Posted July 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 8, 2018 There will be an up-charge going from guarantee to an assigned stateroom but it may not be that much.
PH29 Posted July 8, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Hey, I’m on the same cruise too! So excited. Go for the 7th floor balcony, you won’t regret it. Sent from my iPad using Forums
