kodesthemoose Posted July 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2018 I can't seem to find the right terms to search this topic.... I tried! Wondering if anyone has experience asking for a child to age up within the kids clubs. If we go with the MSC Seaview in 2019 I will have a 6.5yo, a 7.5yo, and a 10yo. The 6.5yo would love to join his brothers in the Junior Club which is 7-11. Thought I'd ask to see if anyone has tried to ask about this. Thanks! The other cruise lines are a hard no on this, and I would think MSC would be no different. But IME on other lines, if you're cruising at a low census time, sometimes they combine the groups. Rare KatRangoon Posted July 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2018 When we went, they said they went off birthdate, so no aging up. However, if they have a low number of kids of an age group registered for the cruise, they make plans to combine groups. My 12 yr old and 17 yr old were combined into 1 group because of numbers. ADVentive Posted July 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2018 On our cruise, they allowed my 12 year old to age *down* to be with her younger sister, but I don't think they would allow a kid to age up. The tweens and teens were combined on our cruise, and my daughter felt more comfortable with the younger kids than with the teenagers.
