Bar Package Help?

I am travelling with a group on the Caribbean Princess and have been offered a bar package for $25.00/day. We have taken advantage of it and all 40 peopel have ordered it. Essentially what you get is drinks at all bars on board as long as they aren't over $6.00 per shot or drink. Can only order one at a time and cannot order drinks in the dining rooms. Has anyone done this before? They say it is only offered to larger groups. I need to have some more info on this package as I have never done anything like this on board before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am leaving tomorrow (WOOOHOOOOO) for the Carribean Princess and I think there is 38 people total in our party and we were not offiered that package! :confused: I will have to see because me and hubby will spend wayyyyyy more than 25.00 each a day!

:confused: I just called Princess and they had never heard of this package and suggests I ask the Pursers office or it may have been a "perk" w/ your cruise reservation. I soooooo want this package!!!!!

I just got off the phone w/ my TA and she called them for me. It is for groups OVEr 30 people and it has to be booked as one of your imenities while booking the cruise. I was so excited there for a minute!!

Interesting ... this would be a nice thing to add if there are any group cruise critic cruises.

drink prices start at around $3.45 to $5?. If you think you'll be drinking at least 5-6 drinks a day(other than in the diningrooms) then maybe it is worth it. If you plan on ordering drinks through room service, check to see if it is covered.
