Jan5174 Posted July 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2018 Hi. It would appear from the P&O site that that we have to collect our luggage from the carousels when arriving in Malta on a Thomas Cook flight. Is it then handed over to P&O and transported to ship/cabin ? Or do we have to do this ourselves?
kruzseeka Posted July 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2018 Hi. It would appear from the P&O site that that we have to collect our luggage from the carousels when arriving in Malta on a Thomas Cook flight. Is it then handed over to P&O and transported to ship/cabin ? Or do we have to do this ourselves? We had to collect our luggage in Malta - we travelled from Gatwick on a Thomas Cook flight. As some of the passengers were going to hotels and weren't all joining the cruise our luggage wasn't bonded. At the time we arrived (late afternoon) the airport was quite quiet and we collected our cases and were directed by P&O staff to waiting coaches. Our cases were taken from us at this point and put in the luggage hold. Next time we saw them was when they were delivered to our cabin. Interestingly on the return, we had to put our luggage outside our cabin the night before departure and this was bonded so we didn't see them again until we got to Gatwick. Our boarding passes were sent to our cabin a day or two before the end of the cruise plus the luggage security labels so we went straight to security at the airport and didn't have to go through check-in with our hold luggage.
