floridafunlady Posted July 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2018 I want to buy my baby granddaughter a gold bracelet and I am looking for an independent jeweler where it won't be mobbed with cruisers. I found one in St Thomas a few years ago and it made my shopping experience so much better. Thanks in advance. myfuzzy Posted July 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2018 (edited) Forget purchasing any jewelry in any ports. If you want a "valuable" memento for your grand daughter, go to your nearest LOCAL jeweler with BBB accreditation to purchase that gift, and make sure you get the warranty and guarantee with it. Sometimes jewelers in foreign port don't give you the quality for your money. Sure it's gilttery and sparkly in the shop, a couple of weeks later you may have a green pile of metal. There are multiple threads here on CC about purchasing "quality" jewelry in the islands I just found this additional thread https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2501720&highlight=purchasing+jewelry Edited July 30, 2018 by myfuzzy
floridafunlady Posted July 30, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Thank you. I did well in St Thomas but I am usually quite suspicious in Nassau hence the question Sent from my SM-G920T using Forums mobile app
