When you ask your cabin steward to empty the minibar...

On the Star in March, we asked for it to be emptied. The contents were placed by the steward on a shelf above the TV (balcony room). We used the fridge for the two free bottles of water and our own water bottles and any milk or yogurt from room service breakfast that we hadn't used. It was a Mexican Riviera itinerary so we always took bottles of water with us when going ashore.

People worry about the strangest things. I have never thought twice about where the move the contents and I've found them a few times.

 

Yes, well, the point was that we “found” them by hearing them clank together when stowing dirty clothes in a suitcase under the bed. I neither want to pay for a broken bottle nor smell its contents for the rest of the cruise.
