Costa Maya Mexico Cozumel Mexico

My husband and I are booked to do the Dolphin Swim and Ride in Cozumel. Our travel agent told us that Cozumel is a good port for shopping, so we didn't want to spend all day going to the Mayan ruins and miss out on the shopping!

We are visiting Kohunlich Mayan Ruins in Costa Maya. It's a long bus ride to/from (2.5 hours each way), but the reviews say the ruins are a must see and a favorite for many.

This will be our very first cruise. Sorry I can't be of any more help, but I'm sure whatever you end up picking will be fun!

We liked the Mayan experience with native choice, which combined the chacchaben ruins with an authentic Mayan lunch. The only downside was the pickup location was located a few blocks from the port, which was a little hard for us since we had a 3 year old (they suggest taking a cab if it’s hard to walk, but there were none in the port when we were there). The walk wouldnt be a problem if we didn’t have kids with us.

We swam with the dolphins at Cozumel.
