Fiction paperbacks in QM2/QE libraries?

Are fiction paperbacks available in the QM2 and QE libraries or is there a paperback exchange onboard? I’m just looking for “cheap/easy” reading - John Grisham, Alex Cross, Danielle Steele, etc. I don’t like hardbacks or eReaders and need to know how many paperbacks to pack. Thanks!

Don't pack any books.The library is excellent with many paperbacks for loan plus a section where people put the paperbacks they have brought with them for others to take.

There is absolutely no need to bring English books. Even for other languages there is a reasonably good selection.

Sadly there is no public catalogue. The library is one of the reasons I prefer the QM2 over any other vessel.

Is the library on the QV the same for paperbacks?

Yes, the QV is the same as the QE. They are on two decks with a staircase between them inside the library. They don't seem quite as large as the library on QM2 but all of them have a good selection of both hard sided and paperback books. They also have a smaller selection of books in large print. I try to stop in shortly after it opens on the first day to get the best choice. You are allowed to check out 2 books per person.

Thank you that's really helpful, this will only be our second cruise, we went to the fjords in May on QV but didn't get chance to check out the library. We will pick her up again in Barcelona in just under two weeks.
