1.) Not bad, in my personal experience. Other's will tell you chair hogs are everywhere. I think realizing that its all part of the process helps

2.) Yes it's worth it, and the personalized service is one of the things that make it special (note to OP: They don't have a specialty reseraunt on Century class).

3.) i guess it depends on what you call excitement. I've never been bored on a cruise, and can always find something to do. But then, I'm beyond late 20's :(

4.) I believe luggage valet only applies when you are leaving the ship at the end. Takes bags from the ship right through to the airplane. Express luggage service means you are at the top of the list for luggage delivery to your stateroom

5.) See above, I only think valet applies when you are leaving

6.) No (I could be wrong on that one, but I don't think so)

7.) Get your group together and go see the maitre'd immediately after boarding, he/she should be able to arrange this for you. You also should be able to request this through your TA.

I think that when I'm ready to cruise on the Century (11/13/06), they will have the new restaurant according to a press release that I just saw about the new things they are adding to make it more like a ML class ship.

1. How hard is it to get deck chairs by the pool on Celebrity Ships (Century specifically) Impossible during the day on sea days. Easy on port days and very easy between the hours of 9:00PM and 5:00AM

2. Is it worth the additional expense to try out the alternative dining restaurant? If so, what makes it a unique experience? Most people feel that the food and service are well worth the extra cost.

3. I'm afraid that we'll be bored to death on Celebrity. Is there any excitement for those of us in our late 20s? Watching people fight over deck chairs can be pretty exciting...

6. Does CC have spa perks? - Yes, but only at certain membership levels. However those perks are a discount on one treatment when purchasing another.

7. How can we request to sit with others at dinner? What is the maximum number of people able to sit at one table? If you're travelling with these people your travel agent should be able to link up the reservations.

Thanks!

Yes, that's correct, they will be adding it by then . Didn't know when you were cruising. Enjoy!

superjerry,

When the OP used 'CC' i think they meant concierge class, not captain's club ?

You're probably right. I immediately thought of the coupons I find in the cabin from the Captains Club. I guess we need to standardize our abbreviations.

3. I'm afraid that we'll be bored to death on Celebrity. Is there any excitement for those of us in our late 20s? Move some of the chair hogs things about the deck in the early am. And do it randomly during the day. Stop by abd watch the excitement.

6. Does CC have spa perks? Yes. For extended use in some things. But the more you cruise the more you get - as in After a few cruises the Spa - tpool on the Century series ships is free. [/b]

7. How can we request to sit with others at dinner? What is the maximum number of people able to sit at one table? Through the T/A make sure to link all the booking numbers if they are not using the same agent.

Thanks!

The others are covered well enough above.

1. How hard is it to get deck chairs by the pool on Celebrity Ships (Century specifically). I always pack my own chair so I never have a problem. The best part is the expressions on everyone's face after I dump it in the ocean on the return trip.

2. Is it worth the additional expense to try out the alternative dining restaurant? If so, what makes it a unique experience? It depends if you like paying $20 each for even more food, which is probably a good idea since they never give you enough food elsewhere on the ship.

3. I'm afraid that we'll be bored to death on Celebrity. Is there any excitement for those of us in our late 20s? 1. I agree with the other postings here. Try playing hide and seek with chair hog's belongings. Nothing is more fun than watching them return after a 3-hour hiatis. 2. attend the auctions and be the first to bid on everything. Don't worry, someone will always outbid you. 3. attend the auctions and outbid the guy who bids first on everything, and then don't bid on the $5000 Salvadore Dali. The look on that guy's face when someone doesn't outbid him will be priceless! 4. Play bingo and every time they call the 4th number, yell "BINGO". 5. Buy a tray of drinks and walk around the deck selling them. When someone gives you their card to charge the drinks, use it to pay off your bar tab, get a cash advance in the casino, and pick up a gift in the gift shop before returning the card. Have fun!

4. How does the CC express luggage service differ from the new luggage valet? The more you tip, the greater is the chance you'll recover all of your luggage.

5. How do we sign-up for luggage valet priot to boarding the ship? Call 1-800-MYSTUFF.

6. Does CC have spa perks? They assign you a personal bather who is VERY attentive to you needs.

7. How can we request to sit with others at dinner? What is the maximum number of people able to sit at one table? Arrange this ahead of time. Tables are set up to accommodate up to 8, but we got 17 around our table!

Have a great trip!
