Tampa Hotels That You Can Leave Your Car Parked At?

We are driving to Tampa April 8 to leave on the 9 for our cruise. Has anyone stayed at any decent hotels there and left their van at the hotel for the week and had their shuttle take you to the port? What hotels did you stay at?

Wyndham Westshore does not charge to leave you car parked there They share a 7 story parking garage with a couple of buinesses but Im not sure if they shuttle to the port. You could always catch a cab.

Thanks, I'm not having very good luck finding many. It seems that the price of the room would be the same if I got a lower priced hotel and payed for parking at the port.

We stayed here - they have a ship/shore package which includes free parking and shuttle to/from the port.

The Doubletree will let you...so far they've been the cheapest, but I get a govt discount for $85

They don't have a shuttle to the port though, do they?

We got the Wyndham through priceline 65.00 plus tax and fees total 80.78 I have seen people get it as low as 45.00 check out bidding for travel if you havent already. It gives you an idea on how much to bid.

Thanks so much for pointing out your review. I have reserved for us for Feb 1 pre-cruise. One more question, on the Web site there was no special related to pre-cruise. I got a good government price (my husband's ID) but want to be sure that the shuttle service from and to the airport and port are included. Are these special arrangements or do they do that for everyone? I love the idea of being close to the water prior to sailing. Thanks for the recommendation.

It's been a while since I used Priceline, so if I bid on the hotel, how do I make sure I would get the Wyndham? Or is it still take what you get for that price?

Sheila - hmmm, good question. It does state under hotel amenities 'complimentary shuttle'. Then in another section it mentions

With our complimentary shuttle service (also available to and from Tampa International Airport), ...

making it seem you can get the shuttle to other places beside the airport. But, I would call to make sure.

Airport Amerisuites will let you leave your car there as well.
