We recently returned from our holiday b2b on the Volendam and did a pre-cruise stay at the LaQuinta in Hollywood. Want to thank you for recommending the Rustic Inn for dinner. Can understand why it's where the locals go for good seafood. Excellent selection and quality, generous portions, friendly service, and the prices weren't ridiculous. Also liked the casual atmosphere and waterfront dining. And it was only a two-mile drive from our hotel. You sure were "right on" with this one.;)

Hi Southbound

 

Could you please tell me what shape the LaQuinta is in as I am staying

there in Feb. I have stayed there before and thought it was a great hotel.

But was wondering how it faired from Wilma.

Joanne, The Hollywood LQ is in excellent shape. While we were checking in, I inquired about the damage they sustained and was told it involved one section of one side of the hotel where some window glass was broken, thereby allowing for water damage to the interior wall areas around those windows. Repairs to that area were almost complete when we were there; they were just waiting for the painters to finish up. You'll be well satisfied. :)
