BuckeyeMan Posted September 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2018 We are cruising with RCI in Feb/March and doing B2B cruises. Our return flight is on 3-4 (Monday) and it leaves on southwest at 7:50. Is there still the 6:00pm flight restriction for southwest? Would love to get rid of the bags and enjoy the day in Fort Lauderdale at the beach etc. If they are sticklers for the 6:00 time do I have any other options for bags until the flight leaves? Thanks in advance for any help.
Kamloops50 Posted September 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2018 The 750 AM isn't a do-able. What time does your ship arrive back?

BuckeyeMan Posted September 29, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted September 29, 2018 Major bummer. We were hoping to go to the beach and sightsee in Fort Lauderdale. Any other luggage options?
Desert Cruizers Posted September 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2018 Only thing that comes to mind is rent a car for the day then turn it back before checking into your flight
Viv0828 Posted September 29, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 29, 2018 You could rent a car for the day and keep your luggage in the trunk. Handy for getting around as well! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
angeebabee Posted September 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 29, 2018 Southwest still has a 6pm late flight limit for luggage valet. Will you please explain the question and your answer? My sw flight leaves FLL at 4:30 pm. Can I do luggage valet? It’s been years since I cruised RCI. Thanks!

It’s been years since I cruised RCI. Thanks! Luggage Valet has early and late limits for flights. The late limit for Southwest is 6pm, which means you cannot use LV if you have a Southwest flight later than 6pm. The late limit is 11:59pm for other airlines. The early limit for flights is 11:30am for all airlines for cruises arriving at Port Everglades and flights leaving from FLL. This means that you cannot use LV if you have a flight earlier than 11:30am. See the last part of the document attached to this post for more info about Luggage Valet at Port Everglades: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=56845458&postcount=3 .
