sea_u_onboard Posted April 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I would post this to the RC board but I'm afraid that if I did they looked at my signature, they would see all the Carnival cruises, and MAYBE give me a hard time. I still may post there depending on what my friends have to say here on the Carnival board. Has anyone heard of the Royal Caribbean Online Panel? I got a request to become a member of the Royal Caribbean International Online Panel. If I participate, approximately once or twice each month they will email me a brief survey addressing important cruising-related issues for me to complete and return to them. If I remain active, my participation in the Panel will last one year. To show their appreciation, after each completed survey I will be entered in a quarterly drawing to win a complimentary cruise for two on a future Royal Caribbean International sailing. Has anyone ever done this? Does Carnival have a program like this? -- Cheryl ****Proud member of O.A.T.C.**** Check out my Homepage in my profile for Conquest info 10/99 Fantasy 12/01 Inspiration 03/02 Inspiration 03/03 Conquest Short one on the Celebration JULY 31, 2004

atonal1 Posted April 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2004 I am a member of the Celebrity Cruises Online panel. I have completed several surveys, one of which was about their new Xpeditions Product. momofmeg Posted April 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I think we were in that awhile after our first cruise with them in 99. We every so often filled out a survey I guess for about a year or so. We never won anything though. I imagine there are a huge number to compete with to win anything-but it doesn't take long to do the surveys so no big deal-just don't get your hopes up about winning a cruise because that is only a remote chance. I would not worry about the flap from the RCCL board-let them-I just tell them I like Carnival and will cruise CCLm if I want and they really need to get over it-Royal Caribbean is a budget cruiseline too. What is funny- if you go to the Princess board often they are putting down both Carnival and RCCL and they pretty much class the two lines the same. I have cruised Princess too and they are nicer-but NOT AS MUCH as those Princess cruisers think. They think they are up there with Cunard. Now I haven't cruised Cunard but for what they charge they better be better then Princess as they are much more expensive.
imosoreal Posted April 4, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 4, 2004 No need to be afraid of RC board and good luck in being chosen to win a free cruise. I post on RC board all the time and received "nuthin but love" as on this board. sea_u_onboard Posted April 4, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Thanks for the info. I just didn't know if this was a common occurrence -- but obviously not for a Carnival cruiser to get an RC survey - since not many responded to this thread. Maybe I'll post on the RC thread - will it make me feel "cheap"? izzyvet Posted April 4, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Hey, I just saw a thread on the RC board where the online panel members are getting free mouse pads! Sounds like they're pretty nice. I have a MINI Cooper and I'm on an online panel for them. So far no free stuff though. JuniorCruiser Posted April 4, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I don't know why you would feel funny about posting on rcl boards just because you have sailed on Carnival more often. It's been my experience that it really doesn't matter. I have felt more welcomed by my fellow Carnival cruisers than i expected. Just because i have sailed Norwegian more doesn't really make a difference. We all have our opinions. It doesn't make us and it doesn't break us. Just relax and enjoy life to the fullest. Good luck on winning your free cruise. ~~Debbie~~ NCL Sea 05/01 NCL Dawn 05/03 NCL Dawn 09/03 Carnival Legend 04/04 NCL Dawn 01/05 Until we sail the Carnival Legend....
