Motel 6 Dania Beach is it safe ???

I've never been inside, but it looks okay on the outside for a Motel 6 and seems to be quite popular, there are always a lot of cars there anyway. The area is safe, but it's VERY isolated! There's nothing to walk to, you'll want to have a car if you're staying there.

Thanks for the fast reply trents.

Also, is it very far from port? I'm wondering what cab fair will be to get to port. I have a hold on a room at the extended stay, but its $134 and the motel6 is just $84.

We need a room for just one night on Feb 24 and everything is booked!

Thanks, kld

It's about 10 minutes or so from the port, but for the price difference I would definitely go with the Extended Stay America on SE 17th Street. Not only is ESA a MUCH nicer place, it's only a block from the port, and it has dozens of restaurants, and everything else you could possibly want right there.

There's NOTHING around that Motel 6 - It's surrounded by jungle in a very UNdeveloped area. It doesn't have a restaurant either, if you want food you'll either need a cab or a long walk down a dark road (not a good idea).

Cab fare from Motel 6 to the port is going to be at least $20, from ESA, $6-8.
