How do I get from Hertz in downtown Long Beach to the pier?

I'm not sure how much help I can be with your specific question but it looks like you are on the Star in April. If that is correct, keep in mind that the Star sails out of the Port of Los Angeles at San Pedro and not the Port in Long Beach. San Pedro is probably about a 20 minute drive from downtown Long Beach. Will you be dropping your car off at Hertz downtown? You could probably grab a cab. When we were there in December there was a fixed rate from Long Beach airport to San Pedro. Not sure if this applies to downtown Long Beach. Boy my memory is failing me but I think it was $36.
