GroupCruiser Posted January 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2006 We stayed at the "Radisson Resort at the Port" at Port Canaveral last March for our Glory cruise. Great place, only $109 per night (Group rate), Tiki bar with entertainment, one mile from the pier, breakfast buffet, shuttle to the terminal, the works. What does anyone recommend at Port Everglades with a similar environment? Close to the pier, heated pool, outside bar, reasonable price, and so on. The hotels I've found on various websites want an arm and a leg in March. We're on the Liberty in March of 2007, and I want to at least identify where we want to stay now, hopefully something under $125 per night. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? I can't even get rates on most places for this coming March for comparison, their websites just come up and tell me they don't have anything available or they're all booked. Any help would be appreciated. GC
TrentS Posted January 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2006 Under $125 per night in March in Fort Lauderdale with a similar environment to Radisson by the Port??? Good luck with THAT one! You may find something with all that at 3 times that price, but for $125??? Sorry... You may even have a problem getting a BUDGET hotel with NO pool at that price at that time of year! I think even the nasty, scary DUMPS in town get more than THAT then... March/Spring Break is the most heavily booked, most expensive time of year down here. Unless something really really BAD happens to tourism in the next year, $125 is simply not going to cut it. Oh, and none of the decent hotels have port shuttles, but that's NEVER a reason to book a hotel anyway. The places that have those here do so because they have nothing else going for them and HAVE to. These are the nice/decent hotels in the port area...
