How much was your bar tab?

Our last cruise we spent a little over $1200 for 7 days. That included 2 excursions for the both of use, pictures, some inexpensive jewelry and a little gambling. Rest was alcohol. We even took two liter bottles. After checking our balance the second day we decided not to even look at it and just have a good time. We sure did!!!

My questions is...did everyone drink the alcohol they brought on board in their rooms or did you drink it on deck or at dinner as with the wine? I didn't think you could do that boviously since we smuggled it on. We are going again in April and would love to save some $$$$ and bring our own on. SInce our last cruise we've really gotten into wine so instead of spending $22 for a cheep bottle of Beringer would love to smuggle.

Thanks!

I just posted about help for first time cruise, but I guess I'm more worried about the bar bill at the end, we're not lushes, but probably might drink a lot (we are on vacation;) ) So what's the most yours has been?

Thanks a lot!!!

$3.100 for wife & I for 7 days, stay away from bottles at dinner, wife made a lot of friends on this cruise especially at dinner

The fancy drinks were cheap compared to the wine portion of our bar bill

Yeah, we tank it up pretty well (1 gay drink at the pool, 2 in the cabin before dinner, 2 or 3 with dinner, 3 or 4 at the casino) which equals 3 cocktails (in a Fred Flintstone mug) per day.

Total bar tab for 7 nights: $600.

Great cruise: Priceless.

And what's all the hubub about drink coupons, bub?

Where do you get 'em? How much are they? What do they do? Why do I want them?

Our "worst" aka highest bill was on a 2 day Cruise to Nowhere out of NYC where it rained the entire time. We spent about $500 between the 2 of us in those 2 days! It was my DB's Bday and his "trial-run" cruise, so I'll go w/ that being the "reason"...;)

Thank you! Now I know we weren't the only ones with a big bill on the CTN-ugg- ours was $475. Thank god we found these forums- the last 3 day cruise we took our bill was $168 and some of that were photo's and gifts. We did bring wine for dinner, champagne for mimosa and each a bottle of our "prefered" poison. We bought the carnival insulated mug and kept them filled for the most part and pretty much the only drinks we bought were the drinks of the day and I got a couple on the Fdeck because I was too lazy to dress the girls to go down to the room...

Our S&S bill at the end of a 7 day on Conquest was $1400. That included tips, photos, bar, etc. We purchased the "drink of the day" and got the souvenior cup (came home with a suitcase full of cups - LITERALLY! ). We now use the cups throughout the house as coin collection cups for our next cruise. Since July '05 we have saved over $500 in coins for our next cruise (obviously going to cash them in before we leave).

Whatever you normally drink on a night out multiply x3 for each day and you should have a good budget for alcohol. ;)

It's just too darn easy on the ship to order another!!!! :p
