Salty Dawg Posted April 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Group hug! We're like one big family here... Love & hate each other at the same time; agree & disagree with each other often; get on each others nerves at times; bicker, complain & snipe at/about each other; but most of all, we always come back together to help each other out! Happy cruising... Ken & Nancy

rcsort Posted April 5, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Julia, Welcome!! I discovered these boards before my first cruise and I almost felt like a veteran by the time I got on board. I learned so much from this site and the people who frequent it. I hope someday to give back just a little of what I have taken... Now 2 weeks after debarking my first cruise I am booked on another..... We were hooked the moment we stepped on board. You are most definatly in for quite a ride... Enjoy your cruise... sea-cruise Posted April 5, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Dear Julia, Welcome! You seem like such a nice person...I know you'll enjoy socializing and mixing with everyone you meet on the ship. It's always like you're a part of "one big neighborhood" even when you are ashore for the day and you meet shipmates in a gift shop, etc. I never stop learning. That's why these boards are so nice. We can all learn from each other, no matter how old or young we are, or how many cruises we took!! Have FUN!!!!! thebird Posted April 6, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Juliah, I feel the same way you do about this board of people. I am about to embark on my first cruise, too, and can't even tell you all I have learned in the past couple of weeks reading these messages. I have been walking around with my head in the clouds- kind of annoying my husband (who is not going with me), but it's been a LONG time since I had anything to look forward to - and to plan. When I need to take a break from dreaming about the cruise, I just do it. What's funny, though, is that I'm always back on this board within 24 hours!! Have a good trip! I know I will!
