Carnival Spirit - Alaska

My Mom and I are going on the Carnival Spirit (Alaska)in August. I have learned so much from these boards and would love some suggestions of "things not to miss".

Take a helicopter ride and land on a glacier. Go whale watching. Go kayaking. Take a float plane to the misty Fjords.

Most importantly, dont plan on getting any sleep! There is something to see and do every minute of every day. Its the best vacation you'll ever take... so rest up before you go!

The helicopter ride with a landing on a glacier is really awesome...a little pricey but worth it! In Skagway...the White Pass RR is great too! We're going back to Alaska in Sept. and will also be sailing on the Spirit!
Enjoy your cruise! Alaska is simply spectacular!

Hi, we're doing the Spirit southbound in May - go to the Alaska board (destinations) and you will learn tons. I went back to older messages. Budget Queen has great advice!
