bingomamma19 Posted November 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2018 (edited) My mom just got a great offer for a premier cruise...$1000 casino cash too. We jumped on the Horizon for an 8 day eastern carribean at the end of march for 2800 for 3 of us in a balcony, plus I am doing my AARP carnival gift cards to get another 10% off--so around 2500 for this cruise. I thought that was a great price for a new big ship for us...and the $1000 and all the perks of a premier cruise. My DD 13 and I will also become platinum on this cruise. I am super excited as we weren't planning on a cruise this coming year...but this deal was too good to pass up. Now the airfare on the other hand.....crazy--from Milwaukee to FLL is over 400 each way per person. I am playing around with some choices--like booking Milwaukee to Atlanta, then Atlanta to FLL as separate flights and that is only about 250 per person each way. Hoping I can do my magic and keep our airfare low..or reasonable. Wish me luck :):) Edited November 30, 2018 by bingomamma19
Gallivanting Souls Posted November 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2018 Have you looked at changing your cities? I see that Chicago is just over 90 miles. ORD-FLL or ORD-MIA. (MIA is ~ 45 minutes from FLL). Good luck!
Treyatl2006 Posted November 30, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2018 Yeah... Check flights going to Fort Lauderdale. They're usually cheaper. Also hotels should be alittle cheaper in between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Only thing is theres is a 35 minute drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Port Miami.
bingomamma19 Posted November 30, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted November 30, 2018 We normally fly southwest..and for some reason they are cheaper out of Milwaukee than Chicago---but I did check just to make sure. They fly to FLL and we usually UBER to Miami--not too bad of a price. I am pretty good at finding a deal..so this will be my challenge over the next month--find my best flights deals. I am fine if we have to fly out of Chicago and even into a port that is within 3 hours of Miami (will rent a car if necessary), whatever gets us there.
