Burtonair01 Posted December 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2018 (edited) We were chartering a boat in St. Thomas on Christmas day, well we just lost half of our crew(sickness in the family) and now cannot afford the fee with just 6 of us now. We still want to go on a boat for the day, any ideas who or where we can go to for a day on a boat that doesn't break the bank? We were looking at $2000 for a day charter, that's boat, crew, gas, drinks and tip for a day. Looking to spend a $1000 now if it's possible. Ms411 Posted December 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2018 There are many boats that can only take 6. So many were destroyed during the storm and new ones came in. You might be able to Google 6 pack boat st thomas and get a current list. I haven't seen any recommendations lately but they're all good.
GACrusin Posted December 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2018 (edited) We have previously chartered with Palm Tree Charters, but from St. John. Not sure if they will pick up from St. Thomas, but would be worth checking. They are #1 rated on Trip Advisor for St. John and are about $700 for a day charter + gas and customs (if you go to an island outside US territory). Jimmy and Bridgett were fun, and we had a great day! We had multiple snorkeling stops, lunch at Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke, and stopped at the Soggy Dollar Beach Bar on Jost prior to heading back to Cruz Bay. I believe they now have at least 2 boats they charter. https://palmtreecharters.com/about-us/our-boats/ Edited December 2, 2018 by GACrusin
