Renting a car in Cozumel

I am going on a cruise in March stopping at Cozumel and I've been thinking about my group of four renting a car. My husband and I are in our 50's but we'll be with my parents who are in their 80s. Can anyone who has rented a car tell me how it went? What agency did you use and what it walking distance from where we are tendered? What did you visit? Thanks for your insights these boards have been very helpful.

Little busy in town driving a around..... actually very hectic...... ok once you get out of town on the road that pretty much goes around most of the island.
