dennbr9 Posted January 17, 2006 #26 Share Posted January 17, 2006 We happen to love Traditional Dining, and always do second seating, more time to relax after and Island stop and tend to avoid extra eating later at night. The best part to us is the comraderie you develope with your table mates over a week, 10 days, etc. We ask for the largest table we can get to meet more people. Have never, in 12 cruises had a bad experience doing this. The nice thing about cruises is to meet people from all over the world. Some prefer PC because they like to eat by themselves, to each their own.

ourlol Posted January 18, 2006 #28 Share Posted January 18, 2006 With Personal Choice, can you request a certain table size when you get to the dining room? Yes and if there isn't a table immediately available for the size of party you want the maitre'd will tell you how long the wait will be and give you a pager to alert you when it is ready. Alternatively, if you know what time you want to dine you can ring up in the morning and reserve a table. I normally travel as a party of 6 or 8 and our numbers tend to flutuate a bit i.e. sometimes some of us want to dine as a couple. For us this is another reason why we book Personal Choice... the flexibility of timing and table size.
