iluvthe-c Posted December 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2018 Can anyone tell me how long it will take the local bus from the St George Bus Terminal (closest to the cruise ship terminal) to Grande Anse Beach? Cost? And can you pay in US Dollars?

Rare Elizabeth K. Posted January 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2019 We were just there and took a water taxi for $10pp round trip. There are signs in the cruise terminal directing you. Very easy. There is some waiting because they want to fill up the boat. Capacity is 15 if I recall correctly. There are 10 or 12 boats and they run continuously. The ride itself takes about 10 minutes and drops you off on the beach. There are numerous venders renting chairs and umbrellas and selling food and drinks. JerryJudy Posted February 23, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2020 We were also just there in January. Took the water taxi last year, but wanted to try the bus this year. We asked at the Info Desk in the Mall, and they were very helpful. Just go through the Esplanade Mall, go left after exiting the Mall and walk a few blocks to the Bus Terminal. You can see the Bus Terminal from the ship. Take Bus #1 to Grand Anse Beach. We asked the driver to let us off at the beach, and he showed us where to get the bus back. The fare was US$1 pp, each way. We put our towels down under a tree, enjoyed a nice swim, got a beer each from a stand on the beach, dried off and easily found a bus back. We had to be back onboard by 1:30, and had plenty of time. Our excursion cost us a whopping $10 total. It's a beautiful beach, and wasn't crowded at all.
