Annie007 Posted December 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2018 We are doing an Alaska cruise on the Bliss, and we just learned that we have been assigned to cabin 11764 on deck 11 on the Bliss. It is across from the Studio Lounge, which is open 24-hours-per-day and I'm worried about lounge noise, as my husband is a very, very light sleeper. Has anyone stayed in that cabin or in one nearby? Is there noise from the Studio Lounge?

Rare lepidoptera Posted January 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2019 (edited) Never sailed on the bliss but I have sailed in the studios just a few cabins down from the lounge. It was not used a lot on my sailing except for the nightly solo meet up before dinner which was the only time the bar was open. When people were using it was generally for a quite activity like reading, crosswords, drinking some coffee or I worked on my knitting there. The only thing I would worry about is if you are across from the door into the studios (on the breakaway there were only 2 entrances per floor with key scanners into the solo hallway) the door might slam. moosecrouse Posted January 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2019 As previously noted the problem won't be the lounge. It's very rarely used by groups and usually early evenings. The issue would be where you are in relation to the entrance to the studio area. The possibility of that door slamming as people cone & go would be your real issue
