CattyMom Posted January 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2006 We are considering the Wyndham Hotel in FLL in April for one night pre-cruise on the Sea Princess. Is this a good choice?
TrentS Posted January 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2006 No, it's NOT... It's not a nice hotel, you have a view of a runway or a freeway, and there's nothing at all within walking distance. Try these on SE 17th Street - They're less than 10 minutes from FLL, just outside the entrance to Port Everglades, and are surrounded by dozens of restaurants, shops, grocery, drug & liquor stores as well as the very popular Water Taxi all within safe, easy walking distance. VegasGreen Posted January 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Hi CattyMom, Different strokes for different folks. I thought the Wyndham was very nice. Large, attractive lobby with huge fountain and large, airy, comfortable lounge. Full restaurant with very friendly service, Sundries/gift shop, etc. The pool area is nice, has a tiki bar, poolside dining, etc. Rooms are comfortable. Agree with Trent that there's nothing immediately within walking distance - you're across the street from the Sheraton and DCOTA, and my view was of a Boatyard and I-95 -- but if you have a car, you're 5 minutes from the pier and less than that from restaurants, etc.
